- Hello, my name is Kelly and I welcome you to the Bookend Diaries book blog. I created this blog to share my own reviews of existing and new books, to discuss with other readers what we’re currently reading, update you on my book club picks, and of course, to ultimately support the work of the authors we all enjoy. I am addicted to reading and I thought this would be a great way to reach out to other readers who are as obsessed with books as I am.

Fashion: The Definitive History of Costume and Style By: DK Publishing
.
Tracing the evolution of fashion — from the early draped fabrics of ancient times to the catwalk couture of today — Fashion: The Definitive History of Costume and Style is a stunningly illustrated guide to more than three thousand years of shifting trends and innovative developments in the world of clothing.
Containing everything you need to know about changing fashion and style — from ancient Egyptian dress to Space Age Fashion and Grunge — and information on icons like Marie Antoinette, Clara Bow, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Alexander McQueen, Fashion catalogs the history of what people wear, revealing how Western fashion has been influenced by design from around the world and celebrating costume and haute couture.
Fashion will captivate anyone interested in style — whether it's the fashion-mad teen in Tokyo, the wannabe designer in college, or the fashionista intrigued by the violent origins of the stiletto and the birth of bling.
This makes a great coffee table book besides, being a wonderful resource of fashion and style. A must have for anyone interested into fashion. Would make a great gift.

Remembering Audrey 20 Years Later
I have dedicated my book blog site to, “Audrey Hepburn” on the newsstands there is a copy of a magazine dedicated to her life and the legacy that she left behind. She passed away of colon cancer which is near and dear to my heart since, my Mother also passed away from this terrible disease. My hope is that if you get a chance you will pick up a copy of this magazine since, it not only discusses the life that she lived but, also there are so many beautiful unseen photographs of this amazing woman. Lastly, if you or a family member has been effected by this terrible disease I encourage you to support funding for colon cancer research and to get annual checkups if it runs in your family and detect it early enough for treatments. All my best, Kelly
